dynamic advanced non-contact extensometer

UVX3D

Our UVX3D advanced non-contact extensometer range is designed for the precise measurement of material properties. This includes shear strain, rotation, buckling and strain over multiple points to match individual users’ specific needs. Suitable for both static and dynamic testing applications, UVX3D produces a detailed video archive of specimen tests, enriching the understanding of material properties without physically touching the specimen, this allows for further analysis such as tensile and compressive modulus, Poisson’s ratio and R-value.

Comprehensive testing

The UVX3D range offers higher frame rates and advanced strain rate control capabilities. These features provide a distinct advantage in precision and flexibility, enabling more comprehensive and accurate material testing. With post-processing available on all systems, the reanalysis and reconfiguration of tests are made more efficient.

UVX3D operates at frame rates ranging from 120 to 1000Hz, allowing you to track complex specimens and perform multiple measurements in specific arrangements. This makes it ideal for scenarios where fast, unusual or complicated tests are required. Digital Image Correlation strain and displacement maps are also available as an option.

Comprehensive testing

The UVX3D range features a robust and convenient frame mounting kit that integrates seamlessly with the Vector mounting system. This ensures easy setup and stability during tests, enhancing the overall user experience.

Advanced optical setup

The advanced optical setup of the modules means they are more immune to glare, ambient lighting variations and specimen appearance changes. This ensures consistent performance across a wide range of testing environments, including those with challenging lighting conditions. Inbuilt lighting negates both environmental effects and emitted radiation from specimens tested at high temperature
